The head is screwed together, so I could pull the face off and perform chin-reduction surgery more easily, and I used Apoxie Clay to change the "sideburns" into more of a bob hairdo that fit Shescream's animation model. I tried just carving a new mouth, but the plastic of the face is a bit tricky to work with, and I ended up just gouging out the entire center of the face and filling it in with Apoxie Clay that I shaped into the new mouth. I also used Apoxie Clay to bring down the nosepiece.
The limbs didn't require any physical modification, although I can't fold the
ailerons flat without scraping the paint on the backs of the boots. A coat
of acrylic sealant helps give them more of that factory sheen.
No detail shots of this, but I used Apoxie Clay to add to the waist area and a Dremel to sand down the hips so that she'd have that hourglass figure seen in the cartoon. Exactly where the narrow point of the hourglass is, in terms of the gray/purple division, is not consistent in the cartoon, and after several changes I settled on the way it's shown above.
You'll note I left a lot of joints unpainted. They're close enough in color to the new design, and I wanted to be able to pose and transform this. I have to be really careful rotating the arm cannons and folding down the shoulderpads, but it can be done without damage to the paint.
